Yellow River resembles blood vessels in aerial photos

Due to recent water-and-sand adjustment for the Xiaolangdi Reservoir downstream of the Yellow River, the amount of water in the river's Yongji section in Yuncheng, Shanxi province has decreased.

The water has washed out numerous tiny river branches on the riverbed, creating a spectacular landscape resembling capillaries in the earth while looking from the sky.
